Duties at navigenics included leading a team of front end developers to create standards-based xhtml/css/javascript to interface with a java backend. Migrated code from various javascript frameworks to jquery. Coded java/wicket whenever it would save backend developer's time and assisted with user interface decisions as needed.

Navigenics pathways are a javascript enabled wizard-like container that enables the customer to step through various marketing information and presentations. In addition to displaying standard html content the code was developed to handle any html or flash and video content from a cms. The core code is reused in various different settings with little to no modification effort.

The GCI visualization is dynamically created from the customer's genetic data. In order to keep it printable in browsers it was built with a series of stacked images. The logic can get real hairy because sometimes there are only two colors and there is a lot of css positioning going on to center the information.

This interactive snp chart was created with Flex and reads xml data from the java backend with the user's DNA snp results and displays it in an easy to view chart. The chart has logic built in to gracefully handle the various edge cases with the data.

The flash video player was hand coded from scratch in actionscript 3. It has logic that allows for a cover image and a play button or just the player itself. It's also reused in pathways to start and stop content between wizard steps.
